School district policies must be easily available to school employees

Recent events have uncovered that many teachers do not know the school district policies, and many say that they do not know where to find a policy manual. According to school district policy 1311: Policy Dissemination, each administrator must have "ready access" to the policy manual, and every school library must contain a policy manual. The school district publishes the polices on its website, but the main link has been broken for some time. (The Links page of the CoDE web site is best reference for SVSD policies.) CoDE is committed to ensuring that all school employees have access to the policies and understand them. We will work with each school administrator to get a copy of the policy manual in each building library. We will work with the school district technical staff to repair the online policy manual.
